Digitising film reels
Our professional telecinemas and our technology allow us to guarantee the best quality of digitisation and top-level performance :
- Frame-by-frame capture directly from the reel (without projection).
- Colorimetric correction (improving the colours, contrasts, luminosity, etc.)
- Fully digital digitisation process (no analogue treatment).
- Post-digitisation image processing (by interpolation) allowing a film that originally ran at 12, 18 or 24 frames a second to run as per the PAL norm at 25 frames a second without modifying the actual duration of the video.
Digitising videotapes
Our IT and video equipment lets us provide consistent high quality throughout all stages of the digitisation of your videotapes:
- Optimisation of the video and sound signals (using video amplifiers, Time Base Corrector, software and equipment for the chromatic settings, etc.).
- Optimisation of the data compression settings when encoding videos to allow DVDs to be created.
Digitising slides
Our engineers and technicians have designed digitisation robots that use scanners and professional optical equipment. These systems let us handle over 40,000 slides a day. The slides are digitised after the dust has been removed.
With the help of image processing software, the files are processed automatically in order to restore the original colours and to optimise the contrast.
Digitising photos
No matter how old is the paper photos you give us are (sometimes 60 years or more), they will be processed systematically with numerous precautions and manipulated with precision. Forever's know-how and expertise about processing paper photos goes far beyond mere digitisation: professional scanners, photos scanned at 600 dpi (for retouching, enlargements etc.).
Secure storage of your digitised memories
Storage infrastructures have been developed specifically to allow vast numbers of large video and photo files to be retained in a secure and reliable environment. This equipment has been installed in the Forever technology centre, on the industrial site of Kodak Industrie.
Access is secured and controlled 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The storage simultaneously uses both. IT servers in a RAID configuration and LTO backup tapes. This tape backup is also systematically copied redundantly to two different physical sites.

Forever undertakes to observe the following rules:
- For each order, a receipt stating all the items sent by client will be issued.

For every service performed, we will set up an activity tracking log listing the following for each stage:
- the type of service or activity,
- timestamp,
- the name of the technician in charge of the service,
- confirmation of the quality (or otherwise) of the action,
- a comment explaining any problems.
- We will carry out quality control of customers’ orders for every service provided.
- We will carry out regular full audits of the technical platform that the services run on.
- We will ensure technology monitoring that lets us evolve along with state-of-the-art technology, aiming for constant improvement in the quality of services provided for customers.
